It’s exposition time! As I’ve said before, this issue of Moon Hunters is for the most part a huge chase scene. The characters change locations from scene to scene for the most part. This, however is one of the few times they get a breather. A nice little campfire scene where they can finally share information and try to figure out what they’ve gotten themselves into. It also gave me a nice chance to play with time of day. Something you’ll see throughout the first three books is that I really tried to show the passage of time. I think the first issue, if you take into account Lyria’s journey is only like three or four days. This issue starts off after the crew has been running all through the night. And then they are chased again for another day until we get to this point.
