Midak Stone-Slayer (born Midak Two-Spikes) gained his nickname by defeating the scaled Borgnak of Gorg who terrorized the western plains of the Riverfolk Community by crushing him with a giant stone. It is widely accepted that Midak is one of the strongest of all hornlings. Despite his strength and fearsome reputation he is really a gentle soul at heart. While not as skilled at hunting and tracking as some of his fellow Moon Hunter candidates he makes up for it with his raw strength and pure force of will when engaging in battle.

 

In this first series Midak along with several other warriors have been chosen to take the final test to become a Moon Hunter. He feels very protective of Lyria, almost seeing her as a little sister, despite the fact she is a much more skilled warrior and hunter.
