Billy One Snoot is the leader of the Black Water Gang. A group of boys with a bit too much time on their hands. He and his pals love to harass local school kids on their way to class, toss fruit at passerbys from high in the tree tops and frankly just cause general mischief whenever they can. The Black Water Gang fancy themselves warriors of Black Water Creek, a small village north of the four rivers where trouble seems to be had by all.

Billy lives with his grandfather, a metalsmith and hard working man with a sly sense of humor. Although Billy respects his grandfather he feels lost in the world and doesn’t feel part of the larger community. The people of Black Water Creek are cut off from easy trade routes with the overall River Folk community and are notorious for being a ornery and self-sufficient bunch.
